[ That statement he doesn't argue with; the perception of time is a relative thing. And a month or a year may seem like very little to someone over 500 years old; it's a different matter to someone who's mortal. Part of what makes these kinds of relationships difficult.

It's strange to not be able to answer longing with that same amount of longing, because he was unaware of that passage of time in multiple ways; his year at home, he was unaware of what he'd left behind, and upon his return, the month he'd been gone was also not consciously perceived.

He tugs his right glove off with an easy motion and reaches out to lightly touch Daigo's cheek. ]
