It's true, if he was meeting with the yakuza brass there would be a requisite amount of niceties to the conversation. Maybe one of the more aggressive men would get tired of it and start yelling before they were done... It's alright though, Daigo understands that there are more cultures than his own represented in the city. He can handle Shaxx's directness, even if it sometimes bemuses him deeply. He knows Shaxx feels the same about him, so it's a give and take of simply allowing them each to do as they're wont to.

"Thanks," he says by way of assent. He also understands that Shaxx is more antsy about this conversation than he is, so he will go along with whatever gestures feel comfortable to him in getting there. He can even help, a little.
